About INECTIO LIMITED

INECTIO Limited is a software and ICT solutions company specialised in designing, building, and operating secure, high-availability systems. We work with organisations across different sectors to deliver tailored platforms, combining strong engineering discipline with a pragmatic, client-focused mindset.

We are passionate about technology, reliability, and security — and we build systems that not only meet business needs, but are robust enough to run mission-critical workloads.

Role Summary

As a System Administrator / System Engineer, you will be part of the core team responsible for INECTIO’s internal infrastructure and for the deployment and operation of our custom-built solutions at client sites.

The role combines classic system administration, hands-on system engineering, and cloud/DevOps practices. You will be involved in:

  • Managing and optimising on-prem and cloud infrastructure

  • Deploying and supporting our software in production environments

  • Improving observability, reliability, and security across our stack

This role suits someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, is comfortable working in structured environments, and wants to have direct impact on live solutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Operations

  • Manage, maintain, and optimise internal IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.

  • Administer Windows and/or Linux server environments, including patching, backup, and capacity planning.

  • Support core enterprise services (e.g. AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, backup solutions, monitoring systems).

Deployments & Change Management

  • Deploy, configure, and support INECTIO-developed systems at client locations (on-prem and cloud).

  • Plan and execute changes to live environments following agreed procedures (testing, approvals, roll-back plans, documentation).

  • Contribute to standardised deployment pipelines and automation (infrastructure as code, CI/CD).

Observability, Reliability & Incident Management

  • Monitor system health and performance using observability tools (metrics, logs, alerts).

  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot to root cause, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Help define and maintain reliability metrics (uptime SLAs) and incident response processes.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain strong security practices: patch management, hardening, network segmentation, least-privilege access, secure configurations.

  • Support audits and compliance activities where applicable (e.g. ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 or similar frameworks).

  • Work with development teams to embed security into deployments and day-to-day operations.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work closely with software developers and architects to containerise workloads, tune performance, and improve resilience.

  • Produce and maintain technical documentation: system diagrams, runbooks, installation guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by standardising tooling and processes across environments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Higher level education in IT or related field (MQF Level 5+ or equivalent).

  • ≈3+ years proven experience in a similar role (System Administrator, System Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).

  • Proficiency with at least one scripting language.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).

  • Solid understanding of networking: VPNs, routing, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing.

  • Strong troubleshooting ability, ownership mindset, and clear communication in English.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the EU and internationally, and able to obtain security clearance for national-level operations.

Additional Experience (Considered an Asset)

  • Containerisation & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, self-managed), Helm.

  • Secrets Management: HashiCorp Vault or similar.

  • Observability / SRE: metrics, logging, alerting, SLOs, incident runbooks.

  • Compliance Frameworks: Exposure to ISO 9001 & ISO 27001.

  • Experience participating in on-call rotations for 24×7 operational environments.

Why Join INECTIO

  • Competitive salary and benefits aligned with your experience and the local market.

  • Choice of hardware plus an annual training and certification budget.

  • Direct impact on high-impact, high-traffic systems used in real operational environments.

  • A collaborative, ego-free culture that values craftsmanship, reliability, and work-life balance.

  • Opportunities to work with modern technologies, both on-premise and in the cloud.
