Role Summary
As a System Administrator / System Engineer, you will be part of the core team responsible for INECTIO’s internal infrastructure and for the deployment and operation of our custom-built solutions at client sites.
The role combines classic system administration, hands-on system engineering, and cloud/DevOps practices. You will be involved in:

Improving observability, reliability, and security across our stack
This role suits someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, is comfortable working in structured environments, and wants to have direct impact on live solutions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Operations

Manage, maintain, and optimise internal IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.

Administer Windows and/or Linux server environments, including patching, backup, and capacity planning.

Support core enterprise services (e.g. AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, backup solutions, monitoring systems).
Deployments & Change Management
-
Deploy, configure, and support INECTIO-developed systems at client locations (on-prem and cloud).

Plan and execute changes to live environments following agreed procedures (testing, approvals, roll-back plans, documentation).

Contribute to standardised deployment pipelines and automation (infrastructure as code, CI/CD).
Observability, Reliability & Incident Management

Monitor system health and performance using observability tools (metrics, logs, alerts).

Respond to incidents, troubleshoot to root cause, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Help define and maintain reliability metrics (uptime SLAs) and incident response processes.
Security & Compliance
-
Implement and maintain strong security practices: patch management, hardening, network segmentation, least-privilege access, secure configurations.

Support audits and compliance activities where applicable (e.g. ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 or similar frameworks).

Work with development teams to embed security into deployments and day-to-day operations.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

Work closely with software developers and architects to containerise workloads, tune performance, and improve resilience.

Produce and maintain technical documentation: system diagrams, runbooks, installation guides, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Contribute to continuous improvement by standardising tooling and processes across environments.
Required Qualifications & Experience
-
Higher level education in IT or related field (MQF Level 5+ or equivalent).

≈3+ years proven experience in a similar role (System Administrator, System Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).

Proficiency with at least one scripting language.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).

Solid understanding of networking: VPNs, routing, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing.

Strong troubleshooting ability, ownership mindset, and clear communication in English.

Must be legally eligible to work in the EU and internationally, and able to obtain security clearance for national-level operations.
Additional Experience (Considered an Asset)

Containerisation & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, self-managed), Helm.

Secrets Management: HashiCorp Vault or similar.

Observability / SRE: metrics, logging, alerting, SLOs, incident runbooks.

Compliance Frameworks: Exposure to ISO 9001 & ISO 27001.

Experience participating in on-call rotations for 24×7 operational environments.
